JINKS 4-2 AT BRITISH OPEN

Emma Jinks carried the Canadian and PEI flags admirably last week as she was one of the over 500 top squash players from 40 different countries around the globe who assembled in Birmingham, England for the Annual British Open Junior Squash Championships.

Emma was seeded in the 17-32 group of the girls under 19 event. She won her first match against an Egyptian, tumbled to the plate event after losing her second against one of England’s top players, proceeded to beat two Europeans and a girl from Singapore before finally bowing out 3-1 to Ireland’s top player Sophie O’Rourke.

Most of Emma’s matches were shown live on youtube to the delight of her parents and friends back home in Charlottetown.
